A counter-side talk about your data

In force since November 2026. It lays out, plainly, what the snack bar does with the scraps of personal information that reach it through this site, its email address and its phone lines, under Brazilian Law No. 13.709/2018, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

The one deciding what happens to your details is the snack bar on Rua Engenheiro Fox itself.

The controller is BAR E LANCHES LAPA DE BAIXO LTDA, CNPJ 62.002.720/0001-43, located at Rua Engenheiro Fox, 96, Lapa, São Paulo, SP, Brazil, 05069-020, phone lines +55 11 2987-5598 and +55 11 2939-7316. No other company signs on its behalf anywhere on this site.

The bar only receives what you choose to tell it, plus the technical trail any visit leaves behind.

These pages hold no form, sign-up, cart or customer area. When you write to the email address or call, the bar keeps the name you gave, the address or number you used and whatever the two of you discussed.

Opening any page makes the hosting service note, automatically, your IP address, the date and time, the browser in use and the address requested. The lettering on the site is pulled from Google's font library, which also sees your IP while the typefaces load.

Each piece of information has one short job and the bar does not dream up another one later.

The bar sends no advertising to people who wrote in, builds no consumer profile and never trades contact details.

Outside the bar, only three kinds of third party come near, each for a concrete reason.

The provider that hosts the pages and delivers the email; Google, which serves the typefaces; and, when the law requires it, the company's accountant or a public authority making a formal request. None of them is allowed by the bar to put your details to uses of their own.

This site stores no advertising or measurement cookies. Links to other addresses, should you follow them, lead to services with their own policies, which the snack bar does not answer for.

Messages are held while the conversation still matters and server records fade within a few months.

Emails and service notes stay until the matter is closed and for a reasonable stretch after, in case a follow-up question comes, unless a longer period is set by law. The server's automatic records follow the hosting provider's cycle and are then thrown away.

Only the people who answer the bar's messages can open its mailboxes, behind a password, and the connection to the site is encrypted.

You may ask the snack bar to show, fix or erase whatever it holds about you.

Under the LGPD, a data subject may confirm whether processing happens, see the data, correct mistakes, have anything no longer needed made anonymous, frozen or wiped, carry the data to another provider, find out which outsiders received it, and take back any consent once given.

Just send the request to contato@betterafternoonsclub.com. The bar writes back within 15 business days. Should that answer fall short, a complaint can be lodged with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) through gov.br/anpd.

A data officer speaks for the bar and this text changes only when the way data is handled changes.

Whoever looks after personal data at BAR E LANCHES LAPA DE BAIXO LTDA takes requests, complaints and notices from the ANPD through that same contact address. Any revision of this talk shows up on this page with the new date at the top.
